Montano’s Shoes has been the Hudson Valley’s trusted footwear destination for over 100 years. Established in 1906 by Louis Montano Sr., the store has always maintained its family-focused atmosphere, a commitment to exceptional service, and a large selection of quality footwear at everyday low prices. Today, the store is operated by the third and fourth generations of the Montano family.
Our store is unique because every customer receives personalized care and a professional fitting from one of our shoe experts. This added level of service has disappeared from most shoe stores, but it continues to define the shopping experience and high level of customer satisfaction at Montano’s Shoes. Every member of our team has extensive knowledge of footwear products and can help every customer find their proper fit.
Montano’s Shoes carries the Hudson Valley’s widest selection of shoes for the entire family, stocking over 30,000 pairs of footwear for women, men, and kids. In addition to the top shoe brands, we sell a variety of socks, orthotics, and shoe care products. Beyond everyday shoes and accessories, we also offer custom orthotics, specialized footwear, and shoe modifications, which can be made by Edward L. Montano Jr., a Board Certified Pedorthist.

Edward has been a Board Certified Pedorthist for over 20 years, and he is a fourth-generation family member. He enjoys every aspect of Montano’s Shoe Store but takes a special interest in custom orthotics and fitting hard-to-fit feet. He takes pride in being a family business for over 100 years, and he values the relationships he has built with long-time customers during his tenure at the store. When he’s not at work, Edward enjoys spending time with his family, watching baseball games, and being out on the water.

Anthony is a third-generation family member and has been working in the store for over 45 years. He loves helping customers who find it challenging to select shoes and assisting them in choosing the perfect pair. Anthony takes pride in getting people the right fit for their feet! He appreciates leaving a positive impact on first-time customers and seeing them return for many years. In his spare time, Anthony likes to work outside and enjoys being with his family and dog.

Jeffrey is the fifth generation of the Montano family. He has worked at Montano’s for 8 years and enjoys meeting new people every day. Every type of footwear is appealing to him, but he takes a particular interest in work boots. He loves that customers feel comfortable putting their care in his hands. With his time away from work, Jeffrey likes to go to the gym and fish, and he enjoys making memories with his family.

Anica is a member of the family and has worked at Montano’s for 6 years. She loves working with people and helping others every day. While she enjoys fitting customers for every type of shoe, she takes a keen interest in fitting for foot deformities. When not at work, Anica likes to be with her family, spend time outside, and garden.

Lisa has been working at Montano’s for 22 years. Her favorite aspect of working here is helping kids as they grow up. She finds joy in seeing children that she once fit with their first walkers returning over the years for new shoes as their feet get bigger. She also takes pride in being able to remember a repeat customer’s shoe. Outside of work, Lisa likes to walk, hike, and spend time with her family and friends.
